Sinopsis:

Highschool of the Dead Sub Indo Batch - Cerita anime ini bermula ketika salah seorang siswa SMA bernama Takashi Komuro tak sengaja menyaksikan kejadian yang terjadi di depan pintu gerbang sekolahnya.

Seorang pemuda aneh berusaha mendobrak masuk ke dalam sekolah dan dihalau oleh penjaga sekolah.

Tiba-tiba saja pemuda tersebut mengigit lengan si penjaga hingga tak sadarkan diri. Selang beberapa saat si penjaga bangkit dan mulai menggigit para guru yang kala itu sedang berada di sana.

Melihat gelagat yang tak bagus Takashi pun memberitahukan guru dan teman-temannya.

Pada awalnya mereka tak percaya pada Takashi sampai ketika para korban yang tergigit mulai menjadi aneh dan mengejar seisi sekolah.

Takashi dan beberapa orang yang masih selamat kini harus mencari jalan keluar dari sekolah yang sudah dipenuhi oleh zombie-zombie yang haus darah.
